Tourism

The German economy has been one of the strongest and most stable in the world for decades. Both its high per capita income and the level of private wealth allow Germans to maintain a high standard of living, even in old age. The Germans are travel world champions. According to the Federal Statistical Office, the number of overnight stays has been rising rapidly and steadily for 8 years. Another record was set in 2017 and 2018, with 459 and 477 million overnight stays.
The German and European governments recognize that tourism is an important sector of the economy in regions such as Schleswig-Holstein and support it through numerous assistance programs. All in all, Germany offers political and social stability and provides investors with a calculable environment for sustainable investments with statistically verifiable prospects.
